I got my new Polaroid camera in the mail today. It was my Christmas gift and I’m so excited. Just waiting on the film and time to take adventures and make great memories. I am so ready to go already. Show me the trees and the open waters. The huge blue cloudful skies. And the little bunnies and sweet friends who are going to join me.
I have to keep reminding myself not to let anyone rob me of my joy.
That means a friend that is hard to deal with, customer service people who aren’t so good at their job, my dad, a boy. Stupid girls, we let them take away our power…we let them leave us defenseless. We need to stop that. Look in that mirror and own who you are…don’t let them own you. You just wish they could want you like you want them. Not in that way, but in the way they look at your eye lashes flutter when you blink or your nose and how it scrunches when you laugh. And you want them to notice your freckles. It will happen. Don’t dote over someone who isn’t already doing that from the moment they first see you and have to double take.
I can’t wait ‘til the day that I finally get to say,
“Mom, you don’t have to work anymore. Relax. I can support you now. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me.”
